The Ghost of Tom Thompson was last seen by Fast Eddie and the Brent Giant, October 1, 2002 while crossing Canoe Lake in an early Fall blizzard.
We heard no sound of his approach and in an instant he faded from sight, even his paddle breaking the surface was deathly silent.

Yes, I remember Tom's ear to ear smile. He waved to us oblivious of the early winter storm that raged around our canoes as we bounced on the angry grey waves of Canoe Lake. The Giant and I were suddenly respectfully silent as we continued across as Mother Nature played mischeviousily with snow on an early Fall day.
