It's time to chum the waters

Start the eerie cello music cause he's not the Mystery Angler anymore. Here he is, unmasked for the first time...it's "Shark Bait"! He will be challenging us all with this his nerves of steel as he attempts to be the next Ultimate Splake Hunter Champion.

I have heard that part of your great fishing success over the years is that your hooks were once drenched by St. Elmo's Fire when searching for the Great White One off the southern coast of Africa!

Shark Bait,
Since The Giant has assigned us a canoe I acquired some of our supplies today to win the competition: new 6 lb. Stren Magnathin Premium fishing line, No-Snagg slip sinkers, floating jig heads (yellow & black), premium Balsa Floats, new reel and rod. Le Baron also put the new line on my new reel!.....Fast Eddie

Seems like le Baron is a good place to go to get fishing equipment and large plastic turkeys.

Shark Bait,
The Giant is cunning and has already figured out the secret bait a week ago while in le Baron. I would however keep a keen eye on Black Bean who is techno savvy. Quote, "Black Bean has google earthed a short cut to the campsite!".

hmmm cunning indeed, but we shall see...I have tricks up my sleeve mahaha (evil manical laugh...ok not too evil). Hmm short cut to campsite eh???...I don't know...google earth is not always updated..perhaps we need a scout to attempt it first this year...I nominate...someone..anyone else :)

I am leaning towards a "new secret bait"...should be very successful I think....very successful indeed!

by the by....nice seeing you at the fishing shop fast eddie...great minds think alike I see ;)

oh, and Will we be picking up worms on the way, or should I pick them up before??

Hi Shark Bait,
We always pick up worms on the way to the park to make certain they are fresh and squirmy. I have added small trailer hooks to some of the floating jigs, a trick Tight Line swears by. Now lets keep this new secret bait hidden from the cunning Giant and resourceful Bean.
